Fast and flashy. That's the Geneva show of 2009 in two words.

Everyone from Ferrari and Aston Martin to Lamborghini and Rolls-Royce had something new and exciting to preview at the first major European motor show of the year.

Recession? There was no sign of a slump as the big names did the job with dream cars for every class and budget, right down to a new Nissan SUV concept which could become the next X-Trail.

And, tucked away in the working class heartland, was a Ford concept car which will become the next Focus and the crucial homegrown hero for Ford Australia in 2011.

We’ll keep adding images and stories as the cars are unveiled, so check out the stars in our photo gallery at right.
