I AM over 80 and have never had an accident in 60 years of driving. I have owned a 1969 Hillman Hunter since new. It has done 185,000km and been very reliable. Since I moved into a retirement home, the car has been out in all weather and has deteriorated. Should I spend the money on the repairs it needs or buy another car?
IF THE repairs are minor, have them done and keep driving the car you clearly care about. If they cost $1000 or more, replace it with a newer car which will be safer than the old Hillman.
