Price bump! MG Australia raises pricing for almost all of its 2023 models including MG ZS, HS, and MG3

The MG ZS EV is spared from the pricing changes, as its drive-away price changes state by state.

If you were looking to get into a 2023 MG, you might be an extra thousand or-so out of pocket after changes to the brand's (almost) entire line-up have bumped prices by up to $2000.

Pricing for one of Australia's most affordable cars, the MG3, for example is up by $500 across the range, now starting at $19,490 drive-away, unlikely to quell its segment-defying popularity.

Some of Australia's most affordable EVs such as the ZS EV remain unchanged, as drive-away pricing changes state-to-state, but each model has received an almost variant-wide pricing increase.

The 2023 MG ZST Excite is the variant to have been given the highest price bump over the 2022 year, up $2000 to $32,990 drive-away.

All other models have had prices increase by $1000 aside from a few grades, such as the HS Essence Anfield, which have remained unchanged.

An MG Motor Australia spokesperson told CarsGuide the pricing changes were "brought about by the rising costs of production and supply chain challenges that are affecting us and other brands", but that "existing customers are price protected" which means anyone with a current order will still receive the price they were promised.

No specification changes have been made to the range, and anyone purchasing a MY2022 MG still receives the original price, which makes that a tempting offer if any can be found in showrooms.
