    Crewman timing chain stretching

    Holden Holden Advice Holden Crewman Holden Crewman Advice Holden Crewman 2006

    The engine in my 2006 Holden Crewman Cross6 has massively failed, I believe because the timing chain has stretched and the cam timing has been thrown out. Do you know what date Holden changed from a 9.525mm to a 7.7mm pitch timing chain? I have a techline bulletin H08-0601-01, but the change is not dated and could be critical to a claim against Holden.

    I'm not sure of the date, but I understand the 7.7mm pitch chain was fitted to engines after number HO53340001. That should tell you if your engine was affected.
