Six months ago I bought a 2008 Toyota Prius and two things are bugging me with it. When I slow down there is a loud spark sound from the rear, which happens more in the 40-60 km/h range. The second issue is when I park the car and apply the park brake the car will roll backward or forward for an inch so. Then it stops. My dealer did a brake test and found no problem, but I think there's something wrong with brake. ? Have you heard of any similar issues from other readers?
We haven't had any reports of the issues you complain about. I would be concerned about the noise from the rear of the car when slowing down, and would get that checked out. As for rolling on a slope after applying the park brake I'm thinking that's happening while the brake sets after you've applied it. That doesn't sound like it's anything to worry about.
