Mitsubishi Australia has made a small adjustment to pricing for its petrol and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions of its Eclipse Cross small SUV as part of a model year update for 2024.
The 2024 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross now starts from $31,990 before on-road costs, or $500 more than before, for its front-wheel-drive base grade, the ES.
The ES, across petrol and PHEV versions, gains new gear, but a major change from previous years is the permanent addition of the Black Edition to the range, previously a special-edition version of the LS variant.
Now standard from base ES upwards are rain-sensing wipers, dusk sensing headlamps, a rear driver’s side LED fog lamp, and soundproof windshield glass. The ES also scores lane departure warning as standard.
The permanent addition of the Black Edition means the model is now a full variant, sitting just above the LS variant and coming with black exterior trim, power adjustable driver's seat and heated front seats (finished in micro-suede and synthetic leather), plus blind-spot monitoring, Lane Change Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and USB-A and -C ports.
All petrol variants of the Eclipse Cross retain their 110kW/250Nm outputs from a 1.5-litre turbo four-cylinder engine, paired with a CVT, while PHEV variants are a little more powerful thanks to a 2.4-litre engine aided by two electric motors for a total 130kW/332Nm.
Updated Eclipse Cross models are available from dealerships from this month onwards.
