Audi Australia has added a touch of darkness to its A4, A5 Sportback, Q2, Q3, Q5 and Q7 line-ups with the introduction of limited-time Dynamic Black variants.

Starting with the A4, the Dynamic Black variants build on the S Line grades, but add black-coloured 19-inch alloy wheels and exterior highlights, as well as metallic/pearlescent paint as standard.

Inside, ambient lighting and a black-headliner is included, while powertrain options include the front-wheel drive 35 TFSI (sedan only) and the all-wheel-drive 45 TFSI (sedan or wagon) – the latter engine also scoring red-painted brake callipers.

Pricing for the A4 Dynamic Black range kicks off at $68,100 before on-road costs for the 35 TFSI, while the sedan and wagon variants of the 45 TFSI is positioned at $77,869 and $80,369 respectively.

Meanwhile, the A5 Sportback Dynamic Black is available exclusively with the 45 TFSI powertrain and is priced at $92,969, but scores 20-inch wheels, red-painted brake callipers, Nappa leather front sports seats and interior ambient lighting.

As for the SUV models, the Q2 Dynamic Black is offered solely with the 35 TFSI powertrain and features metallic paint, body-coloured bumpers and blacked-out exterior accents, as well as a choice of 10-Y spoke or five-arm rotor 19-inch wheels.

Pricing for the Q2 35 TFSI Dynamic Black is set at $49,950.

Stepping up to the larger Q3, the small SUV matches the A4 and in terms of exterior changes, while inside there are heated and electronically adjustable front seats.

The Q3 Dynamic Black is offered in front-drive 35 TFSI wagon form ($57,950) and as all-wheel-drive 35 TFSI Sportback ($60,750).

The Dynamic Black versions of the Q5 meanwhile, are available in front-drive 35 TDI ($71,250), AWD 40 TDI ($84,900), AWD 45 TFSI ($85,669) and AWD 45 TFSI Sportback ($85,669) variations.

The mid-size Audi SUV scores 20-inch wheels, red-painted brake callipers (excluding the entry-level 35 TDI), blacked-out exterior highlights, interior ambient lighting and – for 40 TDI and 45 TFSI models – black interior with grey contrast stitching in Dynamic Black trim.

Finally, sitting atop the Dynamic Black line-up is the Q7 and Q8 large SUVs, the former available in 45 TDI trim ($117,169), and the latter offered in 50 TDI S line ($138,769) and 55 TFSI S line ($140,069) form.

Both large SUVs feature 22-inch alloy wheels, metallic paint, blackened exterior detailing and interior ambient lighting.

All Dynamic Black models also have their powertrain designation badging deleted “for a cleaner exterior look”, according to Audi.
