Honda slashes drive-away pricing of 2024 HR-V range while lopping a little off the top of lower level ZR-V and CR-V grades

Honda Australia has implemented a series of price drops across its Australian range, most notably in the lower trims bringing entry prices down by between $700 and $3100.

The small drops to Honda's fixed drive-away prices apply to CR-V and ZR-V, while the HR-V’s price has been reduced more drastically as it is in run-out, according to Honda’s website. There are no changes to equipment levels.

Prices of higher grades, including those fitted with Honda’s e:HEV hybrid powertrains, remain unchanged for ZR-V and CR-V models.

"As with all manufacturers, Honda Australia continually reviews and assesses the product offering and pricing across the range to meet market and consumer demands", a spokesperson from Honda said of the price changes.

The HR-V is expecting a facelift after the Japanese-market Vezel – as the HR-V is known at home – was shown off with a lightly updated face and cabin design last month.Honda Australia would not be drawn on when the update was due, so run-out HR-V pricing is on the table indefinitely.

The petrol Vi X is now $1800 less at $34,900 drive-away while the $43,900 hybrid L grade is a rather tantalising $3100 more affordable.

Honda’s next biggest SUV, the ZR-V, has also been treated to a chop at its low end. The VTi X and VTi L both start at $700 less than before. The ZR-V uses Honda’s 131kW 1.5-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder to drive its front wheels.

The rest of the ZR-V range is unchanged and tops out at $54,900 drive-away for the e:HEV LX.
