Leaked! This is the updated 2024 Hyundai i30 Sedan N-Line before it arrives in Australia later this year

The i30 Sedan currently on sale in Australia will be replaced by the mildly facelifted version later in 2023.

Called the Avante in its home nation of South Korea, the Hyundai i30 Sedan is currently in the middle of a facelift in what could be the last generation of the model.

Korean forum Autospy, known for its members dropping unreleased model photos before their official reveal, has seen user singer post two photos of the i30 Sedan N-Line that appear to be taken for documentation posterity, such as a government approval or for Hyundai's records. The images show the car with the Elantra name, which the i30 sedan was once called in Australia, and is still called in China.

The 'base' design and performance-bent N variants have already been officially revealed, and Hyundai Australia has already confirmed to CarsGuide that the updated i30 Sedan will arrive in the second half of 2023. The new shots show a very mild exterior overhaul, consisting of a tweaked bumper design and new wheels.

Of course, we're also due to see the full-fat N variant here by the year's end as demand for N cars rises dramatically according to Hyundai Australia. The recently-revealed Sedan N could also be the last fully petrol-powered car from the N sub-brand.

The current Hyundai i30 Sedan N offers up 206kW/392Nm from its a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, with the i30 N-Line using a smaller 1.6-litre turbocharged engine and making 150kW and 265Nm. These engines remain the same for the update and are unlikely to significantly change outputs.

Called the Avante in its home nation of South Korea, the Hyundai i30 Sedan is currently in the middle of a facelift in what could be the last generation of the model.

Further to the N-Line and N models, we expect Hyundai Australia to use the facelift of the i30 Sedan to introduce a hybrid version of the model, which is available overseas currently and runs a 1.6-litre engine with a 32kW electric motor, totalling 103kW and 264Nm.

Local details including pricing will be confirmed later this year ahead of the updated i30 Sedan's arrival.
