Sold consistently since 1960, the Daihatsu Hijet is a series of micro trucks and vans designed to comply with Japanese ‘Kei’ small car regulations.
An iconic and long-running vehicle on the roads of Japan, the Hijet was also briefly officially sold in Australia via the local Daihatsu operation between 1982 and 1990.
Since then, many examples of later-generation models have been grey imported.
The line-up currently starts at $2,640 for the Hi-Jet (base) and ranges through to $4,070 for the range-topping Hi-Jet (base).
