    The Land Rover Range Rover Sport is available from $143,600 to $360,800 for the 2024 range of models in SUV body types.

    It might look as athletic as a block of flats, but Range Rover's Sport is quicker than it looks - especially if you opt for the thumping $360,800 supercharged 5.0-litre V8 P635 SV Edition ONE (dark). Elsewhere, though, like in the $143,600 D250 SE (183KW) you'll find a mix of petrol and very clever diesel engines that power a boxy behemoth that is home to either five or seven seats nestled in a fine-feeling interior. More than just a pretty face, the Range Rover Sport is designed to venture outside the urban jungle, with some sophisticated four-wheel drive gear ensuring you can in fact go off-road should the fancy take you.     Range Rover Sport 2014: Transmission replacement

    First, talk to JLR directly, but at best they would probably only cover part of the cost of repairs as the vehicle is not five years old and has done 175,000 km. You could also appeal to Allianz, given that there is a history of problems with the transmission during the warranty period.

    Range Rover Sport, Touareg or Grand Cherokee?

    You could go for a Mercedes-Benz GLC with similar features and save money. My choice — perhaps surprisingly — is the Jeep. Just make sure you find a good dealer.
