The Nissan Titan is the Japanese brand's full-size pickup truck, designed to take on the Ford F-150 and Chevrolet Silverado in the US. It had a very late start in this class though, not appearing until 2003, with the second generation appearing in 2016. Both generations ride on a version of Nissan's F-Alpha platform that evolved to underpin the Frontier in the US, and also the D40 and D23 Navara utes, Mercedes-Benz X-Class, Renault Alaskan, R51 Pathfinder SUV and continues under the Y62 Patrol. A handful of Titans have made their way to Australia via importers who convert them from left to right-hand drive, while Nissan is very keen to bring the Titan to Australia via official channels once the business case stacks up.
