Singer's lightest and fastest 911 creation is headed for Goodwood

By Iain KellyIain Kelly

You know you're building a serious car when the Williams Formula One engineers get involved! Singer, the North American shop building retro 911 hotrods, has launched their ultimate creation: the DLS.

The "Dynamic Light-weighting Study" is a comprehensively reimagined 964 Porsche, three year's in the making and packing a bespoke four-litre flat-six engine pushing an astonishing 9000rpm and 125hp per-litre.

Extensively stripped of mass it weighs 998kg but has 500hp worth of shove, so it will go like the clappers.

It will make its public debut at this weekend's Goodwood Festival of Speed.
