Warranty
Is the warranty on my 2019 MG3 Excite transferrable?
I bought a Kia Sportage Si in late 2018 (MY 2019) and it is just under six years old. It has a seven-year warranty on it and approximately 60,000km, and is in excellent condition. Is it better to sell it now while it still has a year or so of warranty on it, or wait till the warranty is about to expire and sell then? Will I get a higher price for the year of warranty left on it or is it not really a factor in the sale price?
I was driving my 2018 Isuzu D-Max Hi-Ride 2x4 yesterday when the transmission alert light came on, then the engine light. I called road side assistance, who told me to have it towed to Isuzu and not drive it. Isuzu now says it was the automatic transmission that has failed.
Is this covered by warranty? I’ve always had it serviced regularly at Isuzu dealer and only done 70,000km with no-off road work.
Is the number three cylinder blowing in my 2017 Ford Ranger Wildtrak covered under warranty?
A 2016 Kia Sportage GT line with 170,000km and serviced by Kia was sold recently to my daughter. While driving along there was a big bang and transmission oil started leaking. The car was towed it to a Kia dealership. The transmission case cracked. It should be under warranty and was never used for four-wheel-driving, only highway use. Will see what Kia says tomorrow. Is this normal for a car this age? Is there anything we can do? Thanks.
If a used car purchased by myself has issues that the dealer has not repaired within the statutory warranty period, can I ask for my money back and return the car?
I have a 2018 ZB Holden Calais V, and the rear end has developed a grinding and banging sound under certain driving conditions. I reported this to my local dealer at its 132,000km service. The dealer submitted a warranty claim to Holden for a diff flush but the claim was denied by the extended warranty provider. I have contacted Holden Customer Care twice - which appears to be an overseas call centre – and after a 50-minute phone call and being put on hold three times the consultant came up with the same conclusion - warranty claim denied. I hung up in disgust. Failures in the rear differentials seems to be happening frequently in these cars. I bought mine brand-new with a seven-year unlimited kilometre new-car warranty and my car has only been serviced by Holden/GMSV dealers. Holden has abandoned Australia and customers like me and now I’m stuck. Surely Holden still has some responsibility with their customers. Can you please help me?
Got new motor from Mazda 12 months ago and now need a new turbo. Would this be covered under warranty? I was quoted over $9000 to fix.
