The Sorento Sport is the second up from the base grade, so it gets a few more features than the fleet-focused grade below it.
The seven-seat Sorento Sport adds things like a 10-way power driver’s seat, sat nav, AI voice command, dual-zone air conditioning, second-row air vents and third-row vents and control, on top of the Sorento S features list.
If you want more gear you’ll need to step up to the Sport+ or the GT-Line flagship.
The 2024 facelift introduces an EV9-like exterior makeover, new curved multimedia and driver display and a modernised dash and console, as well as improvements to ride and handling.
As with all grades it’s available with a 3.5-litre V6 petrol (2WD), or a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel (AWD), and while the latter will set you back an extra $3000 over the petrol, it’s the pick of the non-hybrid grades.
All Sorentos have a solid list of standard safety gear that includes auto emergency braking with a forward collision warning and vehicle, pedestrian, cyclist and junction detection, lane-keep assist, lane-follow assist, blind-spot collision assist, safe exit warning, adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert, a driver attention alert and a rear occupant alert.
