I brought a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe for my wife.
Great car, we had all the services carried out by Hyundai then my daughter purchased the vehicle as she wanted a reliable vehicle with a traceable history. Again, the car has been rock solid and she has maintained the servicing. Well the front diff has just given way, the 5-year warranty period expired at the end of March and Hyundai are saying they can't honour the warranty because it has just expired. The repair cost is massive.
Does this model have a history diff problems? And whilst warranty has just lapsed and now this has happened, should Hyundai be supportive on this?
Diff failures are not common, but not unknown either. I would try to get Hyundai to help out with the cost, their obligations to support their vehicles don't end when the warranty expires.
