    Carnival is over

    Kia Kia Advice Kia Carnival Kia Carnival Advice Kia Carnival 2000
    THE engine in our 2000 Kia Carnival has water in the oil, having done 130,000km since being replaced at 65,000km by the previous owner. I have been told water in the oil is a common problem with the Carnival -- is this correct? I have received quotes of $8500 for a reasonable reconditioned replacement engine, or $11,000 for a good one -- do these prices sound right to you?

    THIS is a common problem with early Carnivals. Kia rebuilt engines when it was widespread, and I guess the engine in yours was rebuilt by the previous owner. I would be sure to have the engine rebuilt by someone who knows what they're doing so that hopefully it won't happen again.
