    Known issues for 2013 Kia Soul?

    We are considering buying a 2013 Kia Soul 1.6-litre petrol 6-speed automatic with around 10,000km on the clock. Have you heard of any reliability issues with these vehicles? Is the engine timing chain or belt driven?

    All Kias after 2010 have timing chains, so there's no need to be concerned about damaging an engine because the belt breaks. The Soul is a reliable car, one that you could expect to get a good run from.
