    Toyota Camry 2018: Why does it come with a space-saver spare tyre?

    One of the many positives of the current Camry in my view is that it had a full-size spare. I was therefore surprised and somewhat disappointed to read that the coming model will have a space-saver spare in every model in the range with the exception of the base model. Do you have any idea what the thinking behind this is? It means that for me it will no longer be a possible choice when I buy my next vehicle.

    Cost, weight, and space saving are all advantages with a space-saver. I guess the other consideration is just how many times do you need to call on the spare. For most people the spare goes along for the road and is rarely used.
