2015 Range Rover Sport | new car sales price

New entry-level and hybrid models added along with more standard equipment for 2015 Range Rover Sport.

Land Rover has announced two additions to its Range Rover Sport luxury SUV range with new entry and hybrid models joining the local model lineup.

Along with the new models comes a specification refresh, bringing increased levels of standard equipment across ‘SE’ and ‘HSE’ trim grades less than twelve months after the new Sport went on sale locally.

Priced from $92,600, the new TDV6 S Range Rover Sport undercuts the previous entry-level model by around $10,000 and is powered by a 190kW/600Nm 3.0-litre turbodiesel V6 engine.

Standard equipment on the new base model includes, voice-activated satnav, reversing camera, 19-inch alloys and eight-speaker audio system.

Air suspension, 8-speed automatic gearbox and Land Rover's Terrain Response off-road traction control system are also fitted standard.

The new Range Rover Sport TDV6 S entry-level model will be available for delivery from December.

The second addition to the updated Sport range is the diesel hybrid model which is capable of using just 6.7L/100km combined.

Powered by the same hybrid tech found in the larger Range Rover flagship, the diesel-electric Sport mixes a 215kW 3.0-litre turbodiesel V6 engine and a 35kW electric motor to give a combined 250kW/700Nm and 0-100km/h time of 6.7 seconds.

Available from $146,900 in ‘HSE’ trim and $165,300 in Autobiography form, the Range Rover Sport Hybrid also has a selectable zero-emissions full electric mode.

Land Rover also claim that since the Range Rover Sport was always designed to be fitted with a hybrid powertrain, the diesel-electric model is no less capable on or off road than the other variants.

Land Rover has also added a load of standard equipment to the ‘SE’ and ‘HSE’ Sport models, offering customers around $6500 worth of additional value on both trim grades, though prices will remain the same as before across all models.

For 2015, all SE models will be fitted as standard with 14-way adjustable power seats, front parking sensors, auto-dimming exterior mirrors, automatic Xenon headlights with LED day-time running lights, high-beam assist, and headlight washers.

The HSE and HSE Dynamic models also gain 18-way adjustable power memory seats, 12.3-inch digital instrument display, automatic headlights with high beam assist, auto-dimming exterior mirrors, premium floor mats, and customer configurable mood lighting.

Land Rover is also making the Range Rover Sport more customizable by adding the ‘Stealth Pack’ to the options list.

This pack adds a satin black finish to the grille, grille surrounds, bonnet and fender vents, mirror caps, and tailgate spoiler.

The bling continues with a ‘stealth finish’ to all non-reflective headlight and taillight surfaces, and either 21-inch 9-spoke alloys or 22-inch 5-spoke items finished in satin black.
