Game-changing update for electric Mustang: 2026 Ford Mustang Mach-E gets power and range boost to fend off the Tesla Model Y, XPeng G6 and Zeekr 7X.

Ford has confirmed it will begin customer deliveries of the updated Mustang Mach-E electric SUV in October.

Three variants will continue to be offered – the Select, Premium and GT. Pricing is up by up to $1000, depending on the variant, with the line-up now starting from $65,990 before on-roads.

The Select has received a power boost and now produces 212kW and 525Nm (up from 198kW and 430Nm). The Premium, on the other hand, which is now powered by the same electric motor has taken a 4kW power cut.

The range-topping GT now has total system outputs of 434kW and 955Nm, which is up from 358kW and 860Nm.

The entry-level Select now has a slightly larger 73kWh battery pack, while the Premium has a slightly smaller 88kWh battery pack. The GT retains a 91kWh battery pack.

Despite this, WLTP claimed range is up across the line-up thanks to a standard heat pump. It’s now up to 600km in the Premium.

Additionally, the Mustang Mach-E Select and Premium adopt new suspension hardware and tuning. There are updated sway bars, springs and dampers.

Other changes include updated alloy wheel design, refreshed exterior styling, new column-mounted gear selector, as well as new exterior paint colours.
