Jeep has revealed what will likely be the last iterations of the popular JK Wrangler, with the limited-run Golden Eagle and Freedom checking in before the all-new JL-series arrives at the end of this year.
The Freedom takes inspiration from the American marque's military history, and the Golden Eagle harks back to the Wrangler models of the 1970s and '80s by the same designation.
With just 120 units allocated for Australia, the Golden Eagle will be offered in both two- and four-door body styles, and with both six-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission options.
Notable features include a large bonnet decal, tan soft-top, body-coloured fender flares and 18-inch bronze painted aluminum wheels.

The Golden Eagle is priced at $42,990 plus on-road costs in two-door manual guise, jumping up to $49,490 for the four-door auto.
Compared to the standard JK Wrangler Sport on which the special editions are based, prices have increased by $4000 for the two-door and $4500 for the four-door Golden Eagle.
Exterior upgrades include tinted rear windows, bronze accented grille slots, Jeep badge and headlight rings and rock rails.

On the inside, the special-edition Jeep gets a 6.5-inch touchscreen multimedia system, Alpine speaker system, black cloth interior with light bronze stitching, all-weather slush mats and painted accents throughout.
The other special-edition Jeep Wrangler, the Freedom, is also based on the JK Wrangler Sport and boasts a number of touches that hark back to the brand's military ancestry.

Limited to 150 units, the Freedom is offered exclusively with an automatic transmission and is priced at $43,990 for the two door and $48,290 for the four door. That translates to a $3000 and $3300 price hike respectively over the Wrangler Sport.
Exterior features include large star decals on the bonnet and rear quarter panel, bold 'Granite Crystal' painted grille, body colour fender flares, black grille slots and headlamp rings, rock rails and 18-inch Granite Crystal alloy wheels.

In the cabin, the Freedom has been treated to a black leather/vinyl/cloth interior trim with silver accents and stitched logos, vinyl front door armrests and centre console lid, 'Iron Grey' painted interior accents, all-weather slush mats, satin chrome painted steering wheel bezels and 'Oscar Mike' logos inside and out.
