The Haval H6 GT plug-in hybrid comes with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and two electric motors - one on each axle. This means the GT is all-wheel drive and it comes with a two-speed transmission. It has impressive outputs of 321kW of power and 762Nm of torque.
The petrol grade uses a 150kW/320Nm 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. It's also all-wheel drive.
The GWM Haval H6 GT has five seats and in the sole Ultra grade they are synthetic suede and leather accented. The rear seats are 60/40 split fold.
Open the powered tailgate and you'll find a high, flat storage space with limited under-floor capacity. It can take 392 litres with all seats in place and 1390L with the second row folded. The cargo volume is the same for the PHEV as it is for the petrol Ultra.
The H6 GT PHEV can cover 0-100km/h in a very quick 4.9 seconds. The petrol version takes about 8.5sec. Top speed is around 200km/h.
The PHEV's official combined fuel figure when the battery is charged is 0.8L/100km and when the 55-litre tank is full that makes for about 1000km of range.
The petrol version has a 60-litre tank and fuel use of 8.4L/100km.
