Used Honda Accord review: 2008 - 2013
Graham Smith reviews the 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 Honda Accord as a used buy. It's one of Honda's most reliable and classy sedans and it has plenty of fans New They carried the same Accord badge, but the cars, one simply called the Accord, the other the Euro, were quite different. The Euro was mid-sized

Used Honda Accord and Accord Euro review: 2003-2015
Two substantially different Honda Accords were sold in Australia from 2003 onwards; one mid-sized, the other large and almost in the same size class as our home grown Commodores and Falcons.  It's not only the size of these Accords that are different, their dynamics mean they attract buyers with significantly

Rear brake pads on Honda Accord

Rear pads wearing out five times faster than front ones is unbelievable; it it's true then there's got to be something wrong and I would suggest that something is amiss with your car. It could be that the rear brakes are not releasing correctly and are dragging. I would have your dealer investigate it.

Honda Accord blown door actuators

Honda Euro Luxury sat-nav

The sat-nav disc you received in your car was current when the car was built, but not necessarily when the car was sold. That's a problem when cars are built in foreign countries usually many months before they're finally sold to customers here. It's something that new car buyers should be mindful of and do something about before they sign up for their new cars.

09 Honda Accord brakes machined

Yes, we have had other reports on Hondas, but it's not restricted to Honda. The brake wear rate on today's cars is much higher than it is on older cars, but the braking performance has also improved markedly and that's the trade-off. What Honda told you is petty much on the mark. About the only thing you can do is to consult a brake specialist, such as Howard Reynolds of Race Brakes Australia and see if they could supply aftermarket discs and pads that would last longer. Howard can be contacted on 03 9687 7222.

Mirror images

I COULDN'T agree more with almost everything you say. It only takes a little time to adjust to convex mirrors and once you do they are much better. But I don't agree with advising drivers not to do head checks. I believe they are a must, no matter what mirrors you have. Advising them not to do them is a recipe for a disaster, even though they must take their eyes off the road momentarily to make them.
