Considered to be one of the most beautiful cars ever to go into production, the Lamborghini Muira is a two-seater, mid-engined sportscar built and sold between 1966 and 1973.

The story of how the Muira came to be is as charming as the car itself and involves Lamborghini’s engineers secretly working on the project after hours without the company’s boss Ferruccio Lamborghini’s knowledge.

A prototype was finished, Ferriccio gave it the green light and the Muira and its screaming V12 became an instant hit.
