Toyota’s Land Cruiser is usually a rough and tough off-roader, able to conquer whatever nature throws at it.

However, this BMW V12-powered Land Cruiser hot rod, which has been chopped and slammed on its guts wouldn’t even get over a pebble.

Nicknamed the "Land Kreuzer", Mad Goat Customs based in Pennsylvania, United States is behind this Frankenstein creation.

The team took the body of a '68 FJ40 and gave it a five-inch top chop, sectioned three inches out of the body and also cut another three inches from the rockers.

Under the skin, a wild variety of parts such as the brakes from a C5 Corvette, a Mustang steering rack, a Pontiac GTO (Holden Monaro) limited slip diff and Porsche 930 CV joints have been mated together along with a long list of custom components.

The 5.0-litre V12 is sourced from a BMW 7 Series and is connected to a six-speed manual, originally found in a BMW M5 V8.

Power is rated at 224kW/447Nm, not overly impressive, but the engine has remained largely untouched unlike the rest of the car.

Do you like the idea of a slammed and V12-powered Land Cruiser? Let us know in the comments.

His other passions include Queensland, and spending Saturdays with the boys.
