The cheapest way to get a Bentley on your driveway

With a new app, you can park a Bentley Flying Spur on your driveway, but the car will be all digital.

If you’ve ever wondered what your house would look like with a Bentley parked out of the front, the ultra-luxurious brand has just made it easier to picture.

Launching a new smartphone app called Bentley AR Visualiser, the augmented reality software will park a brand-new Flying Spur on any flat surface you point your camera.

Though the third-generation Flying Spur has yet to receive a pricetag in Australia, the outgoing version starts at $378,197 before on-road costs for the base 373kW/660Nm V8 variant.

The new Flying Spur sports a number of improvements over its predecessor, including LED matrix headlights, a longer wheelbase, four-wheel steering and a refreshed exterior design.

Propelling the new Flying Spur is a 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12 engine, producing 467kW/900Nm.

Sending drive to the road via a rear-biased all-wheel-drive system and eight-speed automatic transmission, the nearly 2.5-tonne Flying Spur will accelerate from zero to 100km/h in just 3.8 seconds.

Though users of the Bentley AR Visualiser won’t be able to experience the acceleration of the Flying Spur, they are able to step inside the ultra-luxurious sedan to view the luxury-focused interior.

Users will be able to spot the 12.3-inch multimedia system, wood trim, leather seats and diamond-quilted door cards.

The Bentley AR Visualiser is free to download and available on both Android and iOS devices.
