2024 Skoda Octavia pricing and specs confirmed: New SportLine grade joins line-up, offering sharper styling at an entry-level price for Mazda6 rival

The SportLine adds sporty trim but pricing is set at the same as the base Style variant.

Skoda Australia has confirmed a new variant for the Octavia line-up in 2024, bringing the SportLine badge to its Liftback and Wagon at the same price as the base Style.

Starting from $42,490 drive-away in Liftback, or $43,990 in Wagon body style, the Skoda Octavia SportLine brings styling changes and some minor dynamic tweaks to the model for no extra cost.

Available to order now ahead of its expected arrival in late February, the SportLine aims to bridge the visual gap between the Style and popular RS variants, the latter of which is the most popular Octavia in Australia in its Wagon body style ($58,490).

The SportLine has the same 110kW/250Nm 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol four-cylinder engine as the Style, though comes with a Sport Mode setting which sharpens the responsiveness of the engine and the eight-speed automatic transmission.

The other main change affecting the SportLine's dynamics is the lower suspension, 15mm compared to the Style on both Liftback and Wagon variants.

The key design additions over the Style variant include a gloss black front grille, mirrors, badging, and spoiler or roof rails for Liftback or Wagon respectively.

A rear diffuser, front spoiler plus matte black window surrounds and dual exhaust tips are the other exterior changes.

Inside, a flat-bottom steering wheel ups the sporty vibe, along with sport-style seats and aluminium pedals.

It comes with the same seven-year/unlimited kilometre warranty as the rest of Skoda's models.
