Abarth 595 Pista 2020 confirmed for Australia

Thanks to a bigger turbocharger, the Abarth 595 Pista outputs 123kW/230Nm.

Fiat Chrysler Australia will introduce the just-revealed Abarth 595 Pista to local showrooms at a yet-to-be-determined time.

Shown in the UK, the Pista is powered by the same 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine as the rest of the Abarth 595 range, but with a larger Garrett turbocharger with reduced 9:1 compression ratio.

As a result, the Pista produces 123kW of power and 230Nm of torque, slotting it between the 107kW/206Nm base 595 and the top-spec 132kW/250Nm Competizone variant.

Standard equipment on the Pista includes a flat-bottom steering wheel, Sport mode, and 7.0-inch Uconnect multimedia system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

Overseas, the Pista is also equipped with a Record Monza Active exhaust and Kona rear suspension, as well as a matte grey paintjob with green highlights.

Expect to see the 595 Pista land in Australian showrooms towards the end of the year or early in 2020 priced around the $30,000 before on-road costs mark, but full pricing and specification details will be revealed at a later date.
