Abarth is Fiat's in-house tuning company that have been adding go fast bits to the company's models since the 1950s. The current generation of Fiat's small hatchback, the 500 was first given the Abarth treatment in 2008 and was called the Esseesse but has now been remaned as the 595.
Competing with the likes of the Ford Fiesta ST, Renault Clio RS, Peugeot 208 GTI and Volkswagen Polo GTi, the 595 range starts off at $30,580 for the 595 Competizione while the most powerful 595 Competizione is priced at $38,940.
The Abarth 595 is offered as either a hatch or convertible while all models share the same 1.4-litre, four cylinder turbocharged petrol engine but with different outputs.
