Thousands of motorsport fans paid their final respects to the fallen racing legend Peter Brock at the Bathurst 1000 at Mount Panorama.
Brock's wife, Bev Brock described what the tribute race meant to her and the reception she's had from fans and race officials.
Tears flowed freely amongst family, friends and fans aduring the emotional tribute held at the circuit where the Brock legend was born.
Brock's son James led a procession of eight of Peter Perfect's nine Bathurst winning cars in a parade around the circuit.
James shed tears as he told the crowd how amazed he was at the influence his dad had on so many people, while current V8 driver Craig Lowndes was also overcome with emotion as he drove in the parade lap.
Every driver and pit crew member from all V8 teams lined pit lane in respect to their former colleague, rival and friend. Brock died in a rallying accident in Western Australia last month.
Although there has been a state funeral service in Melbourne and tribute at Sandown - today's tribute finally represents closure for many of those closest to the champion.
