    Billed as the "everyday supercar" when it launched in 2006, Audi's stunning R8 was famed for its ease of use, with good vision, a mostly comfortable ride and a sense of long-lasting quality in the cabin that had been missing from most hyper-expensive exotica. The V8 engine found in the V10 RWD was joined by a Lamborghini-inspired V10 variant in 2009, a convertible Spyder option in 2010, and by a limited-production, electric e-tron version, unveiled in 2015. Whether you get the $277,750 base model or the $450,780 V10 Spyder Performance Quattro, every R8 sends its power to all four wheels via a seven-speed 'S tronic' dual-clutch gearbox and Audi's Quattro all-wheel drive system.
