A Stability Control fault has flashed on the driver's screen of my 2010 VE Commodore 14 times since 4717km. It will not allow me to press Electronic Stability Program button, and the only way I have found that this problem can be fixed is to stop and turn off the ignition, wait a few minutes and do a restart. The Stability Control switch was replaced in 2012, but that didn't fix the problem. The next time it happened I was advised that the error was showing on the Computer check, but the car was to be bought back the following day for repair. I have spoken to other people about it and they seem to think this could be linked to the braking system or the main computer system. Do you think I should bite the bullet and seek advice elsewhere and have to pay for it?
No, you should keep going back to the Holden dealer and demand that they fix it. Your previous visits and any checks and repairs would be on record, so they are not starting from scratch, as another repairer would have to do. If you don't think you are getting good service, and I don't you are, escalate your complaint to Holden's customer service department.
