    Holden Astra 2006: What is the service interval for the timing belt?

    My 2006 CDTI Astra has done 142,000 km, when should the cam timing belt be changed. What?s the average cost for doing a timing belt and water pump? Should anything be done with the inlet manifold at the same time?

    Holden tells us that the service interval for your engine is 10 years or 150,000 km, whichever comes up first. With 142,000 km up you are approaching the service point. Change the belt, and the water pump for safety, and that should be it.
