My 2012 Mazda 2 has an annoying hissing sound coming from the air-conditioning. It is audible through the air vents, it's louder on a hot day, and comes on every 20 seconds and runs for six seconds. My initial complaint was brushed off as leaf litter, but I pursued the issue with the service manager who agreed there was a problem and that he would ask Japan on how to rectify it. When I checked back with him after nine weeks I was told they would not fix it because Mazda do not accept it as a problem. What should be my next course of action?
Go back to the dealer and again request a report on the cause of the problem, if they give the same answer ask them to justify it. In the meantime take it to an air-conditioning specialist and get an independent assessment of it.
