Nissan X-Trail: Extra servicing items

Nissan Nissan Advice Nissan X-TRAIL Nissan X-TRAIL Advice Nissan X-TRAIL 2011
...

I have just had my 2011 Nissan X-Trail in early for its 80,000km service; it is currently done 75,000km. The mechanics have told me I need over $2000 worth of repairs, including: oil leak from oil cooler assembly, oil leak from transfer case, drive belt requires replacement. Are you able to provide any details in relation to these items? Specifically the drive belt as I understand it is a "chain" and doesn't need replacement? Being a female I don't want the wool pulled over my eyes.

The oil leaks need to be fixed, but you are right about the belt. All Nissan engines after 2011 have timing chains, not a belt, so don't need to be changed. The only reason you might change the chain is if it is stretched, but that shouldn't be the case on yours with just 75,000km on the clock.
