Mercedes’ AMG division has teamed up with boutique Italian shoemaker, Santoni, to create a line of leather AMG-branded casual sneakers.

It isn’t the first tie-up in the brand’s past, with a line of FIA-approved racing shoes and a previous casual line released back in 2005.

Not created as simply driving shoes, the expansive array of available styles in the “Santoni for AMG” range are said to reference AMG vehicles through their choice and design of the materials used.

These include a predominant use of hand-dyed calfskin, suede finishes, shiny foil inserts, and carbon-fibre look touches. Santoni says that the new sneaker line mixes “performance, luxury and a sporty casualness”.

The new sneakers are sold in both men and women’s styles, as well as high- and low- top designs in a range of colours also meant to reflect the personality of AMG’s cars.

As with Mercedes’ performance vehicles, don’t expect these genuine accessories to come cheap, with prices pitched at between €450-500 ($A732.32 - $813.70 at current exchange rates).

It wouldn't be a fully fledged sneaker range without high-tops.

It doesn’t stop there, however, with Santoni’s range also offering fashion accessories themed to specific AMG models.

The brand offers apparel themed to the G63 AMG, consisting of leather boots, a satchel bag, a belt and a purse. Another line of leather sneakers, in both high- and low-top, tailored to the A45 AMG hatch, as well as a garment bag and runners to match the AMG GT.

The stomp-around G63-themed boot comes in at just under AU00.
