Ferrari F8

The Ferrari F8 Tributo was launched in 2019 as the replacement for the 488 GTB. It carried over the mid-engine V8 layout but introduced sharper styling and improved aerodynamics. The name “Tributo” referenced Ferrari’s long history with turbocharged V8 engines, dating back to the 308 GTB Turbo of the 1980s. With 530kW from its 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8, the Ferrari F8 became the brand’s most powerful V8 production car at the time.

In 2020 Ferrari expanded the range with the F8 Spider, offering the same performance in an open-top format. Both coupe and convertible models kept the lightweight aluminium structure and seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Overseas, the model was simply known as the Ferrari F8 in some markets, while “Tributo” was used to highlight the homage theme. Updates were mostly focused on interior tech and personalisation rather than major mechanical changes.
