How much is my 2005 Honda Accord worth?

Very little. If all was well with the car, and it was in good driving condition it’s only worth $3000-$4000, but if the automatic transmission has to be replaced it’s probably worth $500 or so.

Honda Accord CO2 sensor

Honda claimed an overall average of 9.2 L/100 km, but that's derived from a lab test and not real life. Even so it should be an indication of what you could expect, and that seems to be mirrored by your real life results. It would seem that it's probably running rich and your theory of a faulty CO2 sensor could be on the money. Your dealer should be able to check it and confirm if it's a problem or not.

ASSUMING you aren't a tyre-burning petrolhead, I don't think you have been fairly treated at all and would recommend you pursue Honda for a resolution. Though tyres are a consumable and not covered by the warranty, you should have confidence you will have much longer tyre life than 8000km. Honda should come to the party with part-payment at the very least. Not only that, they should also check the alignment and make sure there isn't a problem that will affect the life of the new tyres.
