The 2022 Hyundai Palisade range of configurations is currently priced from $49,880.
Our most recent review of the 2022 Hyundai Palisade resulted in a score of 8 out of 10 for that particular example.
Carsguide Contributing Journalist Emily Agar had this to say at the time: My five-year old wanted to touch everything inside the Palisade, and loved discovering storage spaces and the features it has. While I had it, everyone made a point of commenting on this car and having a peek inside. A car that can create that much curiosity deserves your attention.

This is what Emily Agar liked most about this particular version of the Hyundai Palisade: Plush interior, Powerful engine, Storage, storage, storage!
The 2022 Hyundai Palisade carries a braked towing capacity of up to 2200 Kg, but check to ensure this applies to the configuration you're considering.
The Hyundai Palisade 2022 prices range from $44,000 for the basic trim level SUV (8 Seat) to $69,080 for the top of the range SUV Highlander Black (7 Seat).
The interior is plush and has a total of seven USB points and four 12-volt outlets.
The first row has a large centre storage bin plus two retractable cupholders and two bottle holders (in each door). It also has a storage space for larger items, like a handbag.
The second row has map pockets on back of front seats, map reading lights and two directional air-vents in the ceiling. It also has four cupholders and two bottle holders.
The third row has four cupholders and two directional air-vents in the ceiling.
The Palisade range comes with either seven or eight seats. Entry and mid level models have black synthetic leather trim and the higher grades come with Nappa leather in either black or burgundy. The sports front seats feature electric adjustments on the driver's side only until you're in the higher spec Highlander model. You can get heated front seats as an option, as well.
Seven-seat models - Three seats (60/40 split fold) in second row with two ISOFIX points and two top tethers. Two seats (50/50 split fold) in third row with one ISOFIX point and two top tethers.
Eight-seat models - Three seats (60/40 split fold) in second row with two ISOFIX points and three top tethers. Three seats (60/40) split fold) in third row with one ISOFIX point and two top tethers.
The Palisade standard equipment list includes, Apple Car Play, Android Auto, AEB, 18-20-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, digital radio, LED headlights and daytime running lights, auto headlights, a leather-appointed steering wheel, 10.25-inch multimedia touchscreen, push-button start, roof-mounted air vents (second and third row), a reversing camera, and sat nav.
The short answer is no. The Palisade in either petrol or turbo-diesel form is rated to tow a maximum of 2200kg. Towing a heavier load than that would be illegal, void your warranty and insurance and would simply be outright dangerous.
Beyond the towing element, the Palisade would be a great choice for a growing family of teenagers as it’s huge inside, comfortable and has a flexible seating layout. However, if you really want to tow a 3.5-tonne camper (which is what a family of that size probably needs for a vanning holiday) then you’re better off going for a four-wheel-drive wagon like a Nissan Patrol or Toyota LandCruiser.
These vehicles offer seven seats (unlike a dual-cab ute) and have the towing capacity to do what you need them to. That said, at 3500kg, you’re right on the limit of their legal towing capacity, so you’d need to accurately know the mass of the caravan or camper and then add the weight of any gear inside it including drinking water and luggage. All those things add to the towed mass and can easily take and already heavy camper-trailer beyond the legal towing limit of the vehicle.
