The base-model Musso ELX comes standard with 17-inch alloys, leather-rimmed steering wheel, LED DRLs, heated mirrors, front/rear parking sensors and reversing camera, while the top-shelf Ultimate Luxury Pack brings leather seats with heating/cooling, heated steering wheel, power sunroof, 360-degree camera, walk-up welcome system and much more.

The interior has a refined look and finish with a tasteful mix of contrasting surfaces that include different shades of grey and splashes of piano black and satin chrome. The rear doors are only 50mm shorter than the fronts which ensures easy entry/exit and comfortable rear seating, even for tall people who have sufficient knee clearance and plenty of headroom.

The 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel is shared by all Musso models and produces 133kW at 4000rpm and 400Nm at 1400-2800rpm. Torque increases to 420Nm at 1600-2600rpm for the longer XLV variant.

There is seating for up to five occupants, in a combination of two front bucket seats and a rear bench seat. Depending on model grade, upholstery is available in premium woven fabric, synthetic leather or premium leather in the range-topping option.

The Musso can accelerate from 0-100km/h in approximately 10-11 secs and has an estimated top speed exceeding 150km/h.

SsangYong claims official average combined consumption of 8.6L/100km for the standard Musso and 9.0L/100km for the XLV, which results in theoretical driving ranges of around 870km and 830km respectively from their 75-litre diesel tanks.
