You should use the park brake when leaving the car parked, and always engage the gear before releasing the brake to drive away. If it continues to shudder after doing this, have the gearbox checked, it could a problem with the clutches, or the hill-hold might need adjusting, or it might be fixed by a transmission oil change.

The following Mini Cooper is available with four seats in the three-door, and five seats in the five-door variant. Both the three and five door variants are available with the choice of cloth or leather upholstery. The cloth upholstery only comes in Carbon Black, with leather available in the choice of: Carbon Black, Cross Punch Carbon Black, Malt Brown, Lounge Leather Carbon Black or Satellite Grey. The John Cooper Works package adds the option of Dinamica/Leather combination seat trim.
