First things first. Peugeot wants you to call this car the ’Five Thousand Eight. ’ Five thousand and eight is a definite non! Who knows why? It’s a mystery. But what we do know is the 5008 arrived here in early-2017, the chic seven-seat SUV powered by either a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol or 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine, driving the front wheels through either a six-speed (petrol) or eight-speed (diesel) automatic transmission. Highly specified and pretty to look at the 5008 is a small-ish seven-seater, but clever interior design and seat packaging makes it a practical and comfortable family option.

Our advice is that you should drive on the ‘goo’ as little as possible and to get the tyre repaired as soon as you can. From that you could feel confident about driving more than 3 km, but you should be driving straight to the nearest tyre shop to get the puncture repaired. We can confirm it does have tyre pressure monitoring.
