The 924 was a two-door sports coupe produced by Porsche from 1976 until 1988. It was the first Porsche sold on the mainstream market to utilise water-cooling, a front-wheel drive layout and to be offered with a fully automatic three-speed transmission.
The 924 was one of the most successful Porsche’s sold in the pre-Boxster and 997 Carrera, selling 150,000 vehicles across its 12 year lifespan.
It was the precursor to the 944, which continued the trend of strong sales, selling an additional 163,000 cars.
The line-up currently starts at $4,510 for the 924 (base) and ranges through to $7,920 for the range-topping 924 (base).
