The 2023 Suzuki Jimny range of configurations is currently priced from $28,850.
Our most recent review of the 2023 Suzuki Jimny resulted in a score of 7 out of 10 for that particular example.
Carsguide Deputy Editor James Cleary had this to say at the time: On paper, the Jimny struggles as a purely urban proposition. It just gets over the line in terms of standard spec for the money, it’s not particularly practical or powerful, safety is a sizable question mark, and even servicing costs are off the segment pace.

This is what James Cleary liked most about this particular version of the Suzuki Jimny: Compact size, Economy, Charisma
The 2023 Suzuki Jimny carries a braked towing capacity of up to 1300 Kg, but check to ensure this applies to the configuration you're considering.
The Suzuki Jimny 2023 prices range from $28,270 for the basic trim level SUV Lite to $44,110 for the top of the range SUV GLX (qld).
Seven colours are available - ‘Kinetic Yellow’, ‘Brisk Blue Metallic’, ‘Chiffon Ivory Metallic’, ‘Jungle Green’, ‘Medium Gray,’ ‘Superior White’ and 'Bluish Black Pearl'.
The Jimny Lite features cruise control, remote central locking, a double-DIN CD player and AM/FM radio with Bluetooth, manual air-conditioning and 15-inch steel wheels.
The Jimny GLX adds climate control air, a 9.0-inch multimedia screen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth connectivity, a leather-trimmed steering wheel, auto LED headlights, front fog lights, a reversing camera, 15-inch alloy wheels and tinted rear glass.
The Jimny’s interior follows a Lego-like ‘piece A clicks into piece B’ design approach. Body colour painted sections fit with the no-frills design. Allen head fixings for grab handles on the dash and doors, as well as dials, switches and instruments that look like they’ve come straight out of an army supply catalogue enhance the functional feel. And that’s not just aesthetic. Simple is good, and everything works well together.
The Jimny is powered by a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine pushing a relatively modest 75kW/130Nm through a five-speed manual gearbox or four-speed auto transmission into Suzuki’s ‘AllGrip Pro’ part-time 4WD system.
The backlog of orders for the retro little Suzuki Jimny means that buyers need to be patient. At the start of this year, Carsguide was told that the average waiting time between purchase and delivery in Australia was between six and eight months. While ever Suzuki is experiencing demand like that, you wouldn’t expect any rush to expand the range.
That said, reports have emerged that Suzuki has, indeed, green-lighted a five-door Jimny which would have those two extra doors as well as the possibility of a turbocharged engine and even a mild-hybrid driveline (mainly to suit European tastes). The five-door concept is said to be 300mm longer and will probably weigh a little more as well.
At this stage, rumours suggest the five-door wouldn’t be in production until 2023 at the very earliest, but given Australia’s demand for the two-door version, you’d expect Suzuki to give serious consideration to sending the five-door Down Under.
As much as I don't like to recommend that you don't service your car I think in this case you could extend the time between services, but don't let it go beyond 12 months.
Because of the long time that has passed since the crash it will be very hard to connect the problems you are having to the prang. Crank angle sensors often fail on all makes and models, I wouldn't attribute that to the crash, and the head and head gasket problems you have had are unlikely to be related either. The second instance of head cracking and the head gasket failure are more likely to be the result of poor repairs to the head when it first cracked.
