Toyota Tundra Australia

Toyota Tundra Australia

FROM
$155,990

Toyota is often never starting a trend, but when it recognises the next big thing, it often deliveries with a high-quality and competitive product.

Case in point: the Toyota Tundra. Though models like the Ram 1500 and Chevrolet Silverado have had free reign so far in Australia, Toyota has committed to converting at least a handful of Tundras to right-hand drive to see how they fair in local conditions.

With the work carried out by renowned vehicle remanufacturers Walkinshaw Group by using existing Toyota parts from the LandCruiser (which shares the same underpinnings as the Tundra), once again, expect a quality and potentially popular Toyota product hit roads in 2024.

The line-up currently starts at $155,990 for the Tundra Limited and ranges through to $155,990 for the range-topping Tundra Limited.

Toyota Tundra Pricing & Specs

The price range for the Toyota Tundra varies based on the trim level you choose. Starting at $155,990 for the latest year the model was manufactured. The model range is available in the following body types starting from the engine/transmission specs shown below.

Toyota Tundra Colours

Eclipse Black

Jungle Khaki

Toyota Tundra Engine

The Tundra is equipped with Toyota's 'i-Force Max' parallel hybrid system. It combines a 3445cc twin-turbo petrol V6 with an electric motor producing up to 36kW and 250Nm mounted ahead of the 10-speed automatic transmission.

The Tundra's total power and torque outputs are 326kW and 790Nm.

The Tundra has a transfer case allowing rear-wheel drive (2H), four-wheel drive (4H) and low-range 4WD (4L). At the rear it has a limited-slip differential.

Toyota Tundra Interior

The Tundra has a vast cabin with lots of creature comforts. There is a good amount of soft padding on the armrests and plenty of storage. The big central cubby, up to 14 cupholders and a sizeable glove box are great for long drives.

Toyota Tundra Accessories

The Tundra is equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry, LED lights, black side steps, rear racking system, synthetic leather upholstery, a 14.0-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, five USB charge points, a 12.3-inch digital driver's display and 12-speaker JBL sound system.

Toyota Tundra Dimensions

The dimensions of the Toyota Tundra Dual Cab vary according to year of manufacture and spec level.
The dimensions shown above are for the base model.

Toyota Tundra Seats

The Tundra has seating for five passengers in Australia with two front bucket seats and a three-wide rear bench. Synthetic leather upholstery, power-adjust and front seat heating and ventilation are also offered.

The space in the Tundra is excellent with plenty of room for five full-grown adults. All positions bar the centre rear seat are extremely comfortable.

The Tundra can accomodate child seats with three top tether anchors and ISOFIX tabs on both outboard rear seats. The bench folds 60/40 to expose the top tether points. The cushion can fold up and away for a more practical storage space, too.

Toyota Tundra Wheel Size

The Toyota Tundra has a number of different wheel and tyre options. When it comes to tyres, these range from 265x60 R20 1 for Dual Cab in 2025 with a wheel size that spans from 8x20 inches.

Toyota Tundra Speed

The Toyota Tundra should be able to sprint from 0-100km/h in around six seconds and is very close to a Ford Ranger Raptor in pace. The Tundra has an electronically limited top speed of 170km/h.

Toyota Tundra Range

With a GVM beyond 3500kg, Toyota did not need to submit an ADR combined cycle fuel consumption figure. In US EPA testing's combined cycle, the Tundra 4x4 hybrid achieved 11.2L/100km.

Real-world testing confirms a similar number. With a 122L fuel tank full of 95 RON premium unleaded petrol, driving range should be around 1100km.
