Volkswagen Passat 2015

The 2015 Volkswagen Passat range of configurations is currently priced from $12,950. Our most recent review of the 2015 Volkswagen Passat resulted in a score of 8 out of 10 for that particular example.

Carsguide Paul Gover had this to say at the time: It's a fact that sales of mid-sized cars in Australia are slumping under the rising tide of SUVs, but it's also true that the Passat is at the top of the class and pressing hard for a place in our 2015 COTY shootout.

This is what Paul Gover liked most about this particular version of the Volkswagen Passat: Reversing camera is standard, Quiet cabin

The 2015 Volkswagen Passat carries a braked towing capacity of up to 2000 Kg, but check to ensure this applies to the configuration you're considering.

The Volkswagen Passat is also known as the Volkswagen Dasher, the Volkswagen Quantum, the Volkswagen Santana, the Volkswagen Corsar, the Volkswagen Magotan (China) and the Volkswagen Carat in markets outside Australia.

Volkswagen Passat 2015 Q&As

Check out real-world situations relating to the Volkswagen Passat 2015 here, particularly what our experts have to say about them.

  • What's a good mid-sized wagon to buy?

You’re buying a used car, it’s not new, so you have to expect some wear-and-tear issues. The older the car, the greater the wear-and-tear, and the more likely it is to have suffered mechanical failures or even a crash. That means you have to thoroughly check the car before purchase, and you have to rely on the honesty of the vendor. If the car has had clutch problems it should be recorded in the service book. It’s the same with the others you’re looking at, check them thoroughly, and if you’re uncertain have an expert check them for you. Of the three others you are considering I would avoid the Passat as a potential money pit, and go for the i40 in preference to the Commodore.

  • Good options for a wagon?

The Mazda6 is very good and great for the price but the Mercedes C-Class wagon is a couple of steps further up the ladder and an excellent car if you have the money.
