The Volvo EX30 is an all-electric SUV that is currently the smallest and quickest vehicle in the company’s catalogue.
Volvo revealed the punchy little model in 2023, with its forward-thinking design, hi-tech features and competitive pricing making it one of the most compelling entries into the increasingly competitive electric small-SUV segment.
The line-up currently starts at $59,990 for the EX30 Single Motor Extend Range Plus and ranges through to $71,290 for the range-topping EX30 Twin Motor Performance Ultra.
The EX30 is extremely minimalistic and feels quite spacious - the kind of space that, if you'd gone from a relatively standard petrol-powered car to this, would have you somewhat confused. There's a distinct lack of buttons but most of the other surfaces you’ll touch are quite nice.

The EX30 Single-Motor Extended Range is powered by a rear motor, with 200kW/343Nm. Stepping up to the Twin Motor Performance adds a motor to the front, with total outputs of 315kW/543Nm.
The Volvo EX30's seats are a standard configuration of two front seats and a bench seat for three at the rear.
Space is ample in the front thanks to adjustable seats, acceptable on the rear outboard seats but a bit too cosy in the centre.
