Genesis GV70 2023
Carsguide Contributing Journalist Emily Agar had this to say at the time: The Genesis Electrified GV70 would have to be one of the loveliest cars I’ve driven. It’s effortless to handle and looks damn fine on the road. Larger families or those with smaller children might struggle with the boot space but it suited my small family just fine. I also love the complimentary servicing and customer care promises because when you’re spending the money, you do want to feel looked after. I would have liked a longer driving range but this easily earns a 9.5/10 from me.

Genesis GV70 2023 Interior
The Genesis GV70’s interior is downright plush. The dashboard is headlined by a massive 14.5-inch multimedia touchscreen that is also operated by a rotary dial that has crystal-looking embellishments. The 12.3-inch 3D digital instrument panel appears like a hologram without the image instability. It has built-in satellite navigation. There is customisable ambient lighting and backlit panel inserts in the door frames that show an etched mountain-scape.

The Genesis GV70’s towing capacity ranges from 1800kg to 2200kg. Some models also offer heavy-duty or towing option packs which can increase towing capacity, as well as options which can hamper towing capacity. Towing capacities can vary wildly on a large number of factors. These include engine, transmission, model, and options chosen. Genesis GV70 2023 Boot Space
The GV70’s boot isn’t as large as it could be with that sloping roof but it still has 503L (VDA) of capacity when all seats are in use. Pop the back row down and that jumps up to a healthy 1678L (VDA) but that only helps with gear and not people stowage. There’s a tiny ‘frunk’ storage but you’ll only use it for the odd charging cable.

Genesis GV70 2023 Engine
The electrified GV70 is powered by two permanent magnet synchronous motors; one on each axle. They each produce 160kW/350Nm in ‘normal’ operation, their combined output quoted as 320kW/605Nm. But press the steering-wheel mounted ‘Boost’ button and those numbers tick up to 360kW/700Nm for a 10-second burst of extra performance.
Genesis GV70 2023 Seats
The GV70 comes with five seats upholstered in Nappa leather. The front seats are electrically adjustable 18-ways and have heat and ventilation functions.
The back seats have ISOFIX mounts on the outboard seats and three top tether child seat mounts. The back row has a 60/40 split fold and lies flat when folded. The outboard seats have heat functionality.
