$61,800

The 2009-2015 E84 X1 was BMW’s first small SUV/crossover, based on the E91 3 Series Touring platform, in four or six-cylinder engine and and rear-drive or all-wheel drive configurations. A big success, over 820,000 were sold.

The second-gen, F48 X1 switched to the transverse-engined UKL2 platform offering front-wheel or AWD. Far roomier as a result, it shares much with smaller BMWs like the 1 Series, 2 Series and Mini Countryman, taking on the Volvo XC40, Mercedes GLA, Lexus UX, Jaguar E-Pace and Audi Q3.

The cheapest grade starts from $61,800, rising to $92,300 for the most expensive version.

BMW X1 2011: Seats cracking

I presume the seats are leather. Leather needs regular maintenance with cleaner and conditioner to keep it supple and prevent it from drying out and cracking. You can buy leather conditioner at all major auto outlets.

Downsizing from a ML350d?

The GLA is actually my favourite of all the baby Mercedes-Benz models and I reckon it should suit her fine. It gets The Tick from me.

Power chip for 2010 BMW X1

We haven't had any experience with the chip you refer to, but have had some with other chips that have been offered here in the past. Yes they can work, but they do so by taking the engine calibration closer to the edge than the carmaker would dare do with safety. In my view they would clearly affect the warranty.
